Sergio Vaccaro
Sergio Vaccaro was born in Rome in 1967 from a middle class family. After his studies in Physics, he worked as an IT engineer in the Italian National Statistical Institute for 22 years.
At the same time, his personal interest in the value and the importance of knowledge and culture leaded him to a constant curiosity and political activism. Insatiable reader, he also played for years as theatre actor.
Then the turning point. In 2019 he left his country and moved to Cyprus.
Convinced that observation is the best path to the knowledge, he has always been a photography passionate. In 2017 he decided to transform his passion into a concrete reality, trying to combine photography with his interest for people, human connections and their philosophy, and then choosing Cyprus and especially its inhabitants as his favourite subject.
In Cyprus he works as photographer of performative arts.
